A New Post

Huzzah!  I'm trying to be a better blogger.  Not so good at it, but I AM trying. 

I'm doing pretty good.  Kind of going through a bleh stage at the moment, but I think that's because I'm kind of stressing out about this whole writing thing.  *sigh*  I want to be done with this before the LFE in June.  Freaking out because I'm nowhere close. 

I'm the world's greatest procrastinator, which sucks.  I plan and it never works out the way I'd planned.  I pants and then I suck too.  It's so obnoxious.  *sigh* 

I am a HUGE fan of pandora radio.  I paid for a year and it's totally worth it.  I've come across a ton of artists I've never heard of and some music that's blown my mind.  Thankful for that.

What else?  My friend Delilah won an award at RT this year.  I am sooooo proud of her!  Yay Delilah!

Been reading.  I love it when I go through a streak of great books.  Really makes me happy, especially since I'm paying my hard-earned money to get said books.  :)

Going to see Florence + the Machine in July!!!!!  Yay!  I finally was able to get the tickets today.  So happy!  My SIL is going with me, so that should be a ton of fun.

On Saturday my SIL & I had a girls night.  Went out to dinner and then drove into Detroit.  Yes, I've lived here for over a year & hadn't made it into the city yet.  It's so sad.  The architecture is stunning, but there are tons of buildings that are completely destroyed.  I want to take pictures and post them just so you can see what I mean.

And the funny moment was when she pointed to a building in the distance (which was basically right in front of us) and said "That's Canada."  I was like "What do you mean, that's Canada?"  lol.  I knew the border wasn't that far away, but didn't realize it was RIGHT THERE!  Sheesh!  So, not this weekend, but the weekend after, we're going to go over.  We have our enhanced licenses, so it should be a snap.  Yay!

And that's about it right now.  Off to go write & see if I can get this crap on paper.  Bleh!  Wish me luck!
