Sometimes...

Life sucks.  Boo!  I'm going thru a bit of a financial crisis right now, which sucks.  My rent was raised when I signed my new lease.  It's only $25, but it seems to have thrown me off.  So, right now I'm poor & frustrated.  Grr...

Other than being depressed on the monetary front, things are going pretty good.  Work's been consistent, which I always appreciate.  Making headway in the editing from hell.  Would someone please remind me why I want to be published????  Oh, right, it's because I love to write.  *headdesk*

Dealing with allergies from Hades.  Don't know why they're so bad, but eesh!  I'm kind of at my wits end. 

I hate my cell phone company with a passion.  I can't afford them anymore, but don't want to pay a fortune to change my account until I'm up for reissue.  Am behind on payments, but not enough to warrant stopping my service.  Woke up this morning & that's what they'd done. 

Now, here's the stupid thing.  I couldn't remember my password & the only way I can get it updated is if they text me.  But, my texting doesn't work until I make a payment.  How does this work?  Honestly, the whole thing's just stupid!  Argh!

Got a message from my mom this morning.  My parents bought me a hair remover for my birthday/Christmas!  It's called No-No & I'd seen it on TV & such, but it was too expensive.  I hope it works!  I've been cursed with extremely coarse hair, which is a royal pain in the heinie to remove.  Would be lovely if I finally found something that worked!!!  So, thanks parental units for a lovely gift!  Hopefully she'll be getting it soon!  Whoo!

I am honestly tempted to just toss everything & disappear.  Just run away from life for awhile.  Being poor sucks monkey butt.  :(


Hope everyone is doing well.  I'll try to be better.  I'm looking forward to my 36th birthday next month.  Less than a month away.  Took the day off from work like I always do!  Huzzah!

I think I've reached it.  I am so frustrated with the male species right now I can hardly stand it.  Why would someone communicate with you.  Tell you you're pretty.  Then disappear.  You send them a message asking if they'd gotten the last one you sent them.  They say no.  That's it.  I'm so confused.  *sigh*


But, on to happier business.  Tuesday night my SIL & I went to see Florence + the Machine at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.  Wow!  All I can say is what an experience!  She was amazing!  My only complaint was that the sound was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think.  People sounded like they were on helium for days afterwards.  I have pictures.  Will need to post here. 

Writing's going amazingly well.  I'm almost done with the second novella & then it's on to editing the one the publisher wants.  I'm really scared because I've never actually edited before.  What if I miss something important?  I honestly don't even know where to start.  *sigh*

I guess my thing right now is to just hunker down.  Read, write & be merry.  Pfft...
